I love telling teachers I work with that they are tour guides that take kids on journeys of learning driven by their curiosity and not by our ability to hammer thought into their minds, ha. Kids naturally want to learn. I really do believe that in what we do, even more so with God’s changing power, anyone from any background can be a new creature in Christ because of our weekly investment in the children we minister to.
I saw as a teacher how, if you take that spark of learning that those children have, and you ignite it, you can take a child from any background to a lifetime of creativity and accomplishment.
